Short description

Hike to the Marzonalm in the Kastelbell-Tschars holiday area.

Description

It doesn't always have to be an extreme tour, because metres in altitude and exposure are not criteria for a worthwhile excursion for everyone. The half-hour hike from Kastelbell-Tschars to the Marzonalm is much more leisurely than the more strenuous tours for fitness fanatics.

Starting point of the tour

Above the hamlet of Freiberg at the Schlumsbach car park

Destination point of the tour

Marzonalm

Route description

The walk starts above the hamlet of Freiberg at the Schlumsbach car park (look out for the markings). You can get here easily on the farm and mountain road from Kastelbell-Marein. At the car park, leisure hikers take forest path no. 7 and reach the lush green alpine meadows of the Marzonalm after a gentle ascent.

Here you can stop for a cosy lunch and then return on forest trail no. 7.
