Mineral museum Teis in Villnöss
The small village of Teis is located at the entrance of Villnöss valley in the Dolomites. The mineral museum at the village centre offers a mineral museum with wonderful findings from the immediate surrounding area as well as from the European area.
In addition to the typical geodes from Teis from the mineral collection by Paul Fischnaller, visitors admire unique special exhibitions with exhibits from the entire world. Spectacular shapes as well as extraordinary crystalline forms do not only enchant passionate collectors but the occasional visitor as well.
Without any doubt, the Teiser spheres are the main characters at the museum. An introductory video shows the evolution of this special geodes. As well, the video displays the collector’s passion of mineral expert Paul Fischnaller from Teis.
At the museum shop, visitors have the possibility to buy specialist literature, jewellery and healing stones. During the summer months, Fischnaller himself offers a tour in search of Teiser spheres once a week (registration is obligatory). Furthermore, the museum organises a series of other events throughout the entire year.
