From Reischach, a village belonging to the municipality of Bruneck, you can reach Kronplatz in just a few minutes by cable car: Bruneck's local mountain is 2,275 metres high and boasts fantastic views, which you can enjoy perfectly while hiking on the Concordia 360° panoramic trail or on the Via Artis, a circular route with 6 works of art by local artists. In autumn, the view, which stretches from the Dolomites to the main Alpine ridge, is particularly spectacular thanks to the good visibility and the intense colours of nature.
Want an adrenaline rush? Then try the giant Skyscraper swing, take a tandem paragliding flight, or let off steam in the Kronplatz Bike Park. If you find culture and architecture more exciting than sport and action, you can visit the LUMEN (Museum of Mountain Photography) and the MMM Corones at Kronplatz.
But back to the town: Bruneck Castle also houses a Messner Mountain Museum – the MMM Ripa. And of course you can also start many beautiful hiking and biking tours directly from Bruneck.

The South Tyrolean event market SelberGMOCHT stops off at various locations throughout South Tyrol and on Saturday, 14th September 2024, also in Bruneck. You can stroll between around 80 stalls on the Graben and on the town hall square. Traditional handicraft products, creative arts and crafts, delicious treats and live music made in South Tyrol – with such a wide selection, you're sure to find something to suit your taste.

Bruneck Kronplatz TourismusThe production of South Tyrolean speck, a typical smoked bacon, is also steeped in tradition: from 28th to 29 September 2024, everything revolves around this regional speciality at the South Tyrolean Speck Festival. Tasting sessions and music groups ensure an all-round enjoyable weekend. Please note: Due to the unfavourable weather forecast, the 2024 South Tyrolean Speck Festival will take place in Bruneck town centre (Tschutschenthaler Platz and Rathausplatz) instead of at Kronplatz

IDM Südtirol-Alto Adige/Manuel FerrigatoThe month of October offers two more opportunities to visit market: on Saturday 12.10.2024, the Autumn Market will be held in the centre of Bruneck: 40 stalls with handicrafts, from ceramics to sculptures, will transform the town hall square into a colourful market. And then there is the Stegen market that was first mentioned in documents as early as the 13th century: the large market takes place every year from 26th to 28th October in Stegen, a fraction of Bruneck, and is a fixed date in the calendar not only for many South Tyroleans.
Kirchtage (14-15.09.2024 in Dietenheim) and Transhumance are other traditional autumn attractions in and around Brunek. On the weekend of 12-13 October 2024, you can even experience a combination of both: The Uttenheimer Kirchtag will be celebrated from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening, with a cattle parade as the highlight on Sunday at 12.30 pm.

Bruneck is not just resting on its longstanding traditions, but is also breaking new ground. At Yogadays South Tyrol at Kronplatz, you can take part in inspiring workshops at LUMEN from 05th to 06th October 2024 – from Ashtanga Yoga to Tantra Yoga. There will also be vegetarian and vegan catering and a market with sustainable products.
The 'Bruneck tanzt' event will also get things moving: on Friday 8 October 2024, 12 DJs will be spinning in the town's bars and clubs. On this night, you can put your stamina to the test while dancing and partying. At the spring edition of this event, we loved the fact that different generations between 16 and 60 celebrated and danced together.

The Bruneck Children's Festival, which takes place every two years and places great emphasis on sustainability, delights visitors of all ages for a whole weekend: from 21st to 22nd September 2024, various clubs offer free games, sports and fun for children and young people on the Town Hall Square, the Graben and the University Square. One of the highlights of the varied programme is archery at Bruneck Castle.
On the weekend in October, 4 to 6 October 2024, there is also an event for the whole family: the Street Food Festival offers culinary specialities from different countries, refreshing drinks, lively music with bands and DJs and a children's area with trampoline and bouncy castle at the Town Hall Square in Bruneck. The different flavours are appetising in themselves and make you want to try them: From curry to sushi, from hamburgers to crepes, at the Street Foof Festival you can experience a wide range of different flavours.
