From the centre of Sand in Taufersau, we cross the Ahrnbach stream at St. Moritzen and keep to it. Just outside the village, at a fork in the path, we stay to the right of the stream and now take path no. 2, which leads south-east to the Bad Winkel inn in Tauferer Boden. We cross the Reinbach stream there and shortly afterwards come to a small crossroads, which we cross diagonally and then continue our hike on Franziskusweg trail no. 2 into the Reinbach gorge until we reach the first waterfall.

A secured serpentine path takes us to the second, much higher waterfall in a short time. We now cross the Reinbach Gorge over a high bridge and reach the most interesting waterfall. We then hike up to the Toblhof farm on the Reintalstraße road. We cross the road and take hiking trail no. 6 below Ahornach back to Sand or continue on trail no. 2a to Taufers Castle.
