Hiking tour Dreieckspitze
Short description
Beautiful hike to the lonely Dreiecksspitze
Starting point of the tour
Rein in Taufers, Knuttental car park
Destination of the tour
Dreiecksspitze
Route description
The hike begins at the Knuttental car park, where there is also a bus stop in the immediate vicinity. From there, walk along the path to the Knuttenalm and on to the Klammlsee lake. You then follow trail marker 9A, which first leads to an uninhabited customs house and then over the rugged mountain landscape, past the so-called Napfensee lakes, on to the Karsee lake.
The particularly daring can reach the summit from there via the west ridge of the Dreiecksspitze. However, freedom from dizziness is required! The less risk-averse can follow the markings until they reach the Bärenluegscharte. Turn left here and follow the cairns that lead to the summit cross. Here you can enjoy the marvellous view and take a short breather.
The descent is via the Bärenluegscharte along the 9A markings over steep terrain until you reach a crossroads near the Kofler lakes. From there, trail 9 continues to the Obere Kofleralm, from where you can take trail 8a via the Untere Kofleralm on a farm road back to the starting point.
