Route description
The starting point of the hike is the Knuttental car park in Rein in Taufers in the Tauferer Ahrntal valley. From there, take trail no. 8a through varied wooded areas and across mountain pastures to the Untere and Obere Kofleralm.
After a short rest, nature lovers continue on trail no. 9a and soon reach the impressively situated Koflersee lakes and enjoy the breathtaking view of the glaciers of the Rieserferner group from there. Hikers can either return via the same route or - recommended only for fit hikers - via trail no. 9a and the Sossenalm.
