In winter, the Klausberg is a rewarding ski area for the whole family. In summer, it turns into a highly recommended hiking area, where the long ascent from Steinhaus to the Klausberg can be shortened with a cable car ride.

Route description
The hike begins with a cable car ride from Steinhaus to the summit of the Klausberg in the Tauferer Ahrntal. From here, hikers take trail no. 2 into the Großklausental valley and continue on trail no. 7 to the Hochfeldalm in the Bärental valley.
Here, mountain lovers hike through typical high Alpine larch forests, which provide the entire valley with significant protection against avalanches and landslides. From the Hochfeldalm, follow the marked trail to the Hochfeld and return to the Klausberg mountain station via the Moser Ebene on trail no. 7a.
