Skiing region Speikboden

The skiing area is located near Sand in Taufers and offers appropriate slopes for beginners, advanced and professional skiers as well as many other activities for small and big vacationers.

Action & adrenaline

Modern lift facilities, swift descents, a speed line and a funpark delight beginners and advanced skiers and snowboarders. Countless events and fantastic mountain for celebrating and enjoying do not give any chance for boredom during your winter holidays at Speikboden. As well, you can discover the other slopes of Skiworld Ahrntal, which also includes Speikboden.

A for sue unique experience is spending a night inside a mountain igloo at nearly 2,000 m, not very far from the top station of Speikboden gondola lift.

Furthermore, Speikboden is a paradise for paragliders due to the thermal. Tandem flights allow everybody to see the beautiful mountain world from above.

Family fun

The Mini Ski Club for the smallest and the Junior Club for kids from 6 to 15 years offer entertainment for children and teenagers. As well, there is a Family Funpark at the valley station with free entry for everybody.

Toboggan lovers will look forward to a broad, well-prepared toboggan run starting at the top station of Speikboden gondola lift. You can decide whether to descend 10 km arriving in Luttach or taking a junction after a few kilometres taking you to Weißenbach. From both villages, you can drive back to Speikboden valley station by bus or ski shuttles.

Extra class panoramic view

The viewpoint near the top station of Sonnklar chairlift allows you to have a 360° panoramic view with 150 peaks and more than 80 majestic peaks, which are at least 3,000 meters high. The Dolomites with its famous Three Peaks, the Zillertal Alps or Durreck Group – a clear illustration will help you to orientate.
