Skiing region Schöneben
Where Tyrol, Engadin and South Tyrol meet, Schöneben and Haideralm are waiting with 65 kilometres of slopes, 11 modern lift facilities and runs with any degree of difficulty at an optimal altitude from 1,450 to 2,390 m above sea level, guaranteeing a very long ski season. Dreamlike panoramas and an unforgettable view over Vinschgau and Lake Reschen will enchant you.
For families, Schöneben skiing area offers the outdoor playground “Schöni’s Kinderland”, which is located directly at the upper station of Schöneben cableway, with 4 magic belts. Moreover, you can taste the local cuisine in many ski huts at the slopes and near the valley station, enjoying the warm sun rays.
Thanks to the new two-country skiing area in North and South Tyrol, you will experience ski fun in 2 countries and with only 1 ski pass. Schöneben-Haideralm, Watles, Trafoi and Sulden offer dreamlike ski runs with 211 kilometres of slopes in total.
Snowboarding, tobogganing, cross-country skiing and more
Schöneben skiing area awaits snowboarders with an internationally known snow park, including a fun slope with 3 and 4 m jumps as well as lines with several degrees of difficulty.
Cross-country skiers can reach Switzerland and Austria on 45 km of well-prepared cross-county ski runs in the middle of a wonderful winter landscape. The adjacent high-alpine valley, such as Rojen valley and Langtaufers, are a paradise for ski touring lovers.
For those who love adrenaline, frozen Lake Reschen is the perfect playground. Ice sailing and snow kiting are the most popular activities. Each year, the International Snowkite Open will let you experience acrobatics and pure adrenaline. As well, Reschen and St. Valentin offer two tobogganing runs, which are daily floodlit from 6 to 11 pm.
