Skiing region Trafoi
Trafoi is where Gustav Thöni – ski legend and former ski racer from South Tyrol – made his first turns. As well, the view from Furkel hut towards Mt. Ortler, the highest mountain in South Tyrol is breath-taking. However, Trafoi has kept his simple and tranquil character offering unforgettable holidays for the whole family.
Perfect for comfortable family skiing holidays
The lift facilities start near the village centre bringing skiers to the wide and family-friendly ski runs. Children will feel in paradise at the ski kindergarten offering funny games while parents can enjoy descending slopes that are more challenging and taking a relaxing sunbath.
For more variety, you can discover the slopes of Ortler Skiarena, an association of 16 skiing areas. As well, you can opt for the two-country ski pass for cross-border ski fun in South and North Tyrol.
Pure nature for individualists
The untouched mountain landscape surrounding Trafoi skiing area is a winter hiking paradise and offers many wonderful ski tours in Stilfser Joch National Park.
Cross-country skiers will look forward to six kilometres of ski runs from Trafoi to Heiligen Drei Brunnen pilgrimage site as well as to a varied track for skating and classic style.
