Route description
Wild stories surround the Radlsee lake. Is it really connected underground to Lake Durnholz and the Mediterranean? Is it really a lake that devours wheels and gives birth to goats?
Whatever the case, we start our hike in a matter-of-fact and sober manner at the Perlungerhof. Trail no. 8 takes us through lush coniferous forests to the Radlsee lake in around two and a half hours without any problems or danger. Right next to it, the "Radlseehaus" snack station serves Eisacktal Valley specialities in the summer months. If you want to hike further, you can climb the nearby Königangerspitze in just under 30 minutes.
