Route description
The mountain bike tour begins in Glorenza/Glurns behind the Malser Tor gate. From here, cyclists first cycle along the Via Claudia Augusta out of the valley and through the three villages of Latsch, Schleis and Burgeis. On the left behind the Fürstenburg castle, cyclists turn onto the provincial road and cycle to Schlinig. The route continues along an alpine path, past the Outer and Inner Alps and a waterfall. Immediately afterwards, the bike has to be carried a little way until you reach a small plateau.
Here, bikers switch back to the pedalling position and effortlessly reach the Sesvenna hut. A leisurely trail now takes you to the national border (don't forget your ID or passport!) and to the entrance of the fascinating Uina Gorge. Technicians can put their skills to the test here: The descent is rocky, partly wet and correspondingly slippery - so be careful! At the end of the gorge, the route continues safely through the valley of the same name and finally reaches Sur En in the Engadin. There, cyclists take the Engadin cycle path and ride along the Inn to Scoul.
Turn left and continue to S-Charl. From here, follow a well-marked forest road to the Astrasalm and turn left after the mountain pasture to Passo Costaines. The descent into the Münstertal now follows and bikers pass through the villages of Valchava, St.a Maria and Müstair. After the border, cyclists cycle through Taufers and return to Glurns on the signposted cycle path.
