Mountain biking in Taufers in the Münstertal valley: to the Pfaffensee lakes in the Vinschgau valley.

A somewhat easier and above all very panoramic tour in the Vinschgau Valley takes mountain bikers to the Pfaffensee lakes.

Burgeis

Pfaffensee lakes and Plantapatsch hut

The tour starts in Burgeis. From there, you cycle along the Vinschgau cycle path to Lake Haidersee. At the beginning of the lake, bikers turn left into the Zerzertal valley and cycle along forest path 4 past the beautiful Pfaffensee lakes to the Plantapatsch hut.
The downhill stage is quite challenging. It follows the toboggan run to the valley station of the Watles ski area. There, at Prämajur, a small hamlet, the cycle tour follows the Schlinigerstraße on tarmac to the Marienberg monastery in Burgeis, which is well worth a visit, and back to the starting point.
