Route description
The mountain bike tour starts in the picturesque village centre of Barbian in the Eisacktal and first takes cyclists along the old, single-lane road towards Ritten (pay attention to the markings). After 500 metres, cyclists turn right and pedal along the beautifully situated Barbianer Almstraße to the Huber Säge. From here, cycle on to the Matilhof farm and the Huber Kreuz car park and take the right-hand path uphill to the Neuhäuslhütte hut.
Continue to the Merlboden and the well-known and popular Moar in Plun hut and the Gasserhütte. Once here, cyclists have earned a break and can prepare for the descent via the Sambergerhof and the sawmill.
