Short description

Mountain biking in Villnöss is truly something for connoisseurs!

Description

It's no wonder that hikes from hut to hut are so popular. You eat well there, make nice friends and the tours are not far away. Mountain bikers are also enjoying this type of excursion more and more. Like those via the Villnösser Almen to the Eisack Valley.

Starting point of the tour

Ranuimüllerhof

Destination of the tour

Zanser Alm, Sass Rigais, Dusler Alm or the "new" and the "old" Geschnagenhardt Alm

Route description

The alpine pasture tour starts at the Ranuimüllerhof in the rear Villnöss valley. From here you can reach all the huts in the valley. For example, you can cycle to the idyllic Zanser Alm, where you can enjoy your first fabulous view of the Geissler: from the Ranuimüllerhof via the Ranuierboden to the barrier, at the crossroads turn left along the Zanser Bach stream to the Zanser car park (1,677 m), left along the toboggan run to the Gampenalm (2,062 m) and along the forest road to the Zanser Alm.
Or you can cycle to the foot of the Sass Rigais. Another alpine pasture alternative would be the Dusler Alm (1,800 m): Km 9.3 (1,721 m) at the fork in the road turn right uphill towards the Dusler Alm, at Km 9.95 (1,787 m) at the fork in the road turn left downhill. Or the "new" and the "old" Geschnagenhardt Alm at 2,048 m: Km 4.9 (1,760 m) junction with the cross-path and uphill to the right towards Geisler- and Gschnagenhardtalm, Km 6.9 (2,006 m) Gschnagenhardt Alm; from the Alm downhill again on the same path.
