Fun, games and adventure – a beautiful playground makes children's hearts beat faster. Whether on holiday or on a weekend trip, when the little ones can really let off steam and talk about a successful day with beaming faces, the parents are happy too.
Children's playground apple orchard in Raas
The children's playground at the Moser Wiese in Raas is a true apple paradise. The inspiration comes from the Natz-Schabs high plateau and its long tradition of apple growing.
Seen from above, the playground shows apple cores of various sizes in which the play equipment is placed. These interpret the apple in all its facets. A huge wooden apple tower with various ascent and descent options, from ropes to ladders and slides, catches the eye. At the highest point, at the apple stalk, you have a panoramic view of the landscape. There is also a water pump with a mud area, several climbing frames, a nest swing or toddler swing, a willow tepee, seesaw animals, a trampoline and a climbing trunk. Several benches with and without tables and a large meadow invite you to picnic, romp around or simply relax. Parking is available directly in front of the playground.
Algund adventure playground
The adventure playground in the Algund sports and recreation area is a play paradise for children of all ages. It has been planned together with children, young people and adults and makes it a special place for leisure and learning. Various play elements such as trampolines, water and sand games, climbing and balancing equipment, a tree house and a natural kitchen encourage children's motor skills and creativity. But there are also more traditional games such as slides, swings and a sandpit. The highlight of the park, however, is the long, enclosed giant slide, which starts from a high wooden tower on a small hill. Right next door there is a bar, a mini golf and felt golf course as well as a football pitch and volleyball court.
Water park in Luttach
The water park in Luttach is only a few kilometres from the village centre and in the immediate vicinity of the fairground and the sculpture park. Here, one can find a sandpit with a sun awning, various water basins with rafts, water games and a Kneipp facility with barefoot and dry running. There is also a football pitch, a mini-golf course and a beach volleyball court. There are car parking facilities in the immediate vicinity.
Mühlwald children's playground
The children's playground is located at the Sportbar Mühlwald leisure centre. It offers a climbing frame, various swings, seesaw animals and a wooden ball track. Older children and teenagers can also let off steam on the football and beach volleyball pitch, while parents can relax in the sports bar. Right next door there is a barbecue area, wooden benches and tables to sit at and a Kneipp facility. Car parking is available in front of the sports bar or right next door.
Portjoch-Wald-Tropfenhaus with exercise trail in the Pflersch Valley
There are 6 stations with different activities along the pushchair-friendly adventure trail "On the trail of water" in the Pflersch Valley. One station is the Portjoch-Wald-Tropfenhaus playground with an exercise trail, which puts the little ones' sense of balance and climbing skills to the test. The centrepiece of the playground is the drop-shaped wooden tree house. The children climb up a tree ladder and then slide down again on the other side. Especially on hot days, the water adventure trail and playground is an ideal place to seek refreshment. If you want to walk the whole trail, you can park in the free car parks at Ibsenplatz or Gossensass railway station. However, if you only want to go to the Portjoch-Wald-Tropfenhaus playground, you can leave your car at the Ladurns valley station.
WaldWunderWelt playground in Toblach
Hidden between tall trees in the middle of a clearing behind the Three Peaks Nature Park House is the WaldWunderWelt in Toblach. Children get to know the forest habitat in a playful and interactive way. They can look around the tree village with its 3 tree houses, follow the tracks of forest animals, go on a mushroom hunt, learn all about trees and wood, climb into a giant bird's nest or even discover a fox den and otter slide. Between the exploratory tours, a wooden fountain and special benches provide the necessary relaxation.
Niederrasen leisure park and Wasserwaldile
The leisure park with children's playground and Kneipp facility in Niederrasen and the Wasserwaldile are the ideal place to take the kids, especially on hot summer days.
Here, the little ones can splash around in the water and really let off steam. The highlight of the park is the central duck pond and the nearby stream. Here, children can playfully explore the element of water, organise races with self-built boats or watch tadpoles. The playground also has various swings, slides, a wooden cart with wooden horses, a wooden house, climbing frames and much more. Also, worth mentioning is the mini golf course with 12 stations where kids can swing a club or the Kneipp facility where adults can refresh themselves.
Not far away, along the hiking trail to Oberrasen, is the "Wasserwaldile", a water course with various stations that encourage children's skills and creativity. The little ones can balance on the wooden planks of the wobbly bridge, cross the small stream on bouncy stones, or build new water connections in wooden water pipes. Children can use natural materials such as pine cones, sticks, stones, water wheels or wooden water channels. You can park at the Niederrasen leisure park.
Children's playground Truden in the nature park
The children's playground in Truden in the nature park is located at the beginning of the forest, very close to the Runggen sports zone and right next to the Kneipp facility. The recently extended playground was built as naturally as possible using natural wood. There are various water and balance games, climbing facilities, slides, swings and seesaws to discover. A real masterpiece! The site is also perfect for outdoor picnics, with a fountain, tables and plenty of seating. Free parking is available at the sports bar, but is in high demand all year round.
Grieswaldile children's playground in Tobalch
The Grieswaldile forest playground is one of the largest playgrounds in South Tyrol. It is located in Alttoblach, very close to the sports zone and is particularly popular in summer. It was recently renovated and equipped with various skill courses, swings and slides in different sizes, seesaws, climbing frames, hammocks, a sandpit, a merry-go-round and many other attractions. In the middle of the forest, a small stream meanders down to a small natural swimming pond with a raft, ideal for splashing around on hot summer days.
The barbecue area at the playground has also hosted a number of birthday parties and barbecues and can be reserved on request. Benches and tables invite you to picnic and linger.
