Destination of the tour

Route description
The starting point of the hiking tour is the Rottenburger Platz in Kaltern. From here, the route first leads to St. Nikolaus and continues along the Telefonsteig trail (no. 521). Hikers reach trail no. 9 and follow it southwards. The trail leads gently up and down along the panoramic high trail until a narrower valley opens up on the right.
There, the path crosses a stream and then branches off into path no. 9 to Altenburg, where hikers can recover from the previous hike on the "Altenburger Aussichtsterrasse". Return to Lake Kaltern on trail no. 14. Once you reach the lakeshore, we recommend walking along lake hiking trail no. 3 back to the starting point in Kaltern.
