Route description
This consistently easy hike begins in Gfrill, a small village high above Salurn. Here, hikers follow the E5 trail (European long-distance hiking trail no. 5) and trail no. 2/4 in a south-easterly direction and ascend on trail no. 2 to the Schwarzsee and Weißsee lakes, two mysteriously situated high moors in the forests between Salurn and the Hornalm.
From the lakes, take path no. 3/4 north-eastwards through mountains and dense forest to the alpine pasture. The way back is the same as the way there.

Directions
Brenner motorway A22, exit Bozen Süd, MEBO expressway, exit Nals in the direction of Gampenpass, turn off to the village of Tisens, in the direction of Gfrill.
