Route description
The starting point is the car park near Ums (1,050 m). You start on path no. 8, at the bridge over the Völser Bach follow path no. 2 towards Völser Weiher (restaurants, bathing lake). Take trail no. 1B from the pond past the Huberweiher pond up a gentle incline to the popular Tuffalm hut (1,280 m).
From there, take trail 8B through the forest to the bridge over the stream. Here a sign points the way to the cave of the hermit Franz Migg, who lived here in the 19th century. Continue along path 8 to reach the Hoferalpl (1,360 m).
Way back: From Hoferalpl, path 3 descends steeply back down to the Ums car park.
