Route description
The hike begins in Bad Ratzes near Seis in the Dolomites. Trail 1 leads to the right over the Frötschbach stream and into the forest. At a fork in the path, hikers take path no. 1a and hike along the Proßlinger Steig to the Prossliner Schwaige on the Seiser Alm, where a fabulous view of the Schlern opens up.
Continue on trail no. 1a to the Sciliar plateau, where mountain enthusiasts take the tourist trail marked 1. The tourist trail takes you to the Schlernboden hut and then descends in hairpin bends to the starting point in Bad Ratzes near Seis.
