Route description
The starting point of the hike is the Alpe di Siusi in the Sciliar area, which can be reached in the most environmentally friendly way by cable car from Siusi. From the mountain station, head south on a gravel path and continue on trail no. 10 through lush alpine meadows. At a fork in the path, continue on path no. 5 and no. 1 to the high plateau of the Sciliar massif.
Here the trail leads hikers in a westerly direction to the Schlernhaus and the highest point of the tour, the Petz. Here, hikers can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Sassolungo and Catinaccio mountains and are well rewarded for the ascent. The descent follows the same route as the ascent.
