Tennis and padel tennis

There is a large selection of tennis courts in South Tyrol: Tennis clubs, sports centres and hotels mainly offer clay courts, but also some artificial grass courts and special courts for padel tennis. Indoor tennis centres also allow you to play tennis regardless of the weather.

Large selection of tennis courts

Tennis is currently booming in South Tyrol and throughout Italy. There are two reasons for this: On the one hand, the young shooting star Jannik Sinner comes from Sexten in Hochpustertal in South Tyrol and has triggered a tennis hype in his home country. On the other hand, padel tennis (also known as paddle tennis or pádel) is becoming increasingly popular. Padel tennis is a combination of tennis and squash. This trendy sport is usually played as a doubles match, i.e. with two teams of two.

There are tennis courts from Sterzing to Neumarkt, from Passeiertal to Terenten, from Mals to Kastelruth, from Sarntal to Ahrntal, from Toblach to Corvara. Tennis courses are also offered in many places in South Tyrol. We can't list all the tennis courts, tennis schools and tennis hotels, but you can find an overview of padel tennis courts here. The courts for padel tennis are smaller than the classic tennis courts and are surrounded by walls approx. 4 metres high.

It's not just experienced tennis players with their own equipment who enjoy chasing after the yellow ball here: On request, it is possible to book a tennis instructor in addition to the court, and tennis and padel rackets can be borrowed free of charge.

From an exciting match with friends to targeted serve training with professional support, everything is possible.

Padel tennis fans can also enjoy their favourite sport in Passeiertal: The Quellenhof hotel resort also has a padel tennis court.
