Nordic walking in South Tyrol
Nordic walking is a sport that has developed from the training for winter sports athletes. However, it is not only perfect for ambitious sports fans, but for all those that have not already been this active. In the varied natural landscape of South Tyrol, Nordic walking is really fun.
Walking with specifically designed sticks stretches your hip and strengthen the back, shoulder, leg and buttock muscles. As many people spend a lot of time sitting position today, Nordic walking is the perfect exercise – it is just important to use the right technique when using the sticks.

Nature.Fitness.Park® Naturns
With 10 well-signposted Nordic walking routes with a total length of 65 km, the Nature.Fitness.Park® in Naturns is a paradise for all those who would like to try Nordic walking or to train. The park also has jogging routes, an inline skating trail, a bike path as well as 4 Alpine-Well-Fit stations.
All routes of Nature.Fitness.Park® Naturns are marked with length, height difference and trail conditions, allowing everybody to choose the suitable route. The information panels at the starting point offer tips for the right training too.
Mountains & valleys, woods & meadows
Breath-taking views of the Dolomites in Langental in Gröden or romantic panoramas of the vineyards and fruit orchards in Vinschgau at "Latschander Waalweg" path between Latsch and Kastelbell – the range of hiking paths for Nordic walkers is wide and varied. Just the area of Lake Reschen has great tours, that are however not especially marked as Nordic walking trails.
Most of the time, there are several suitable tracks right next to your holiday home, which are perfect for discovering the surrounding landscape with your Nordic walking sticks and to stay fit. Descriptions about recommended routes are offered on the website or in the tourist offices in South Tyrol. Also, your hosts will give you useful tips.
