Route description
The starting point for the hike to the Rammelstein is Antholz Niedertal or Mittertal. From there, the route first leads to the Grentealm. To do this, hikers turn left in Antholz Niedertal before the church and climb to the Maierhöfe farms at the edge of the forest and on to the Bichlbach stream. Immediately afterwards, they reach the Grente pastures.
Mountaineers continue on trail no. 6 to the Grentenkreuzl cross and along the Grentesteig trail to the summit of the Rammelstein and enjoy the magnificent view of the Dolomites. The return route is either along the same path or via the Laneralm and following path no. 4 to the Unterhütten and along an alpine path back to Antholz Niedertal.
