Hiking tour Grentealm
Short description
The hike to the Grentealm is a leisurely tour for the whole family, at the end of which you are not only rewarded with a magnificent view of the whole valley, but also with invigorating delicacies from South Tyrolean cuisine.
Description
The rustic mountain hut on the wooded slopes between Antholz Niedertal and Mittertal is a popular excursion destination – for locals and guests alike. This is mainly due to the fact that you can reach the mountain hut via a pleasant, not too long hike.

Antholz Mittertal
Destination point of the tour
Grentealm
Route description
From the car park, to which you turn left shortly before Antholz Mittertal, do not follow the wide forest road, but the narrower path marked with the number 6, which leads up into the forest. After a short time, you will reach a small hut in a meadow. From there, the path follows the forest track for a short distance. It then continues on a path that leads to the Grentewiesen meadows and the alp of the same name, which is located at 2,002 metres above sea level.
The Grentealm is open from the end of May to the beginning of October and offers traditional South Tyrolean delicacies in a rustic alpine atmosphere.
For the way back, you can either take the same route or a slightly longer variant. This is also marked with the number 6, but starts a little south of the hut and leads back to the car park via the former Wiesenmannalm.
