Description
Deutschnofen is located in the wonderfully situated Eggental between the massifs of the Latemar and the Rosengarten, a rewarding area for hikers: beautiful panorama, rocky peaks and cosy refreshments.

Route description
The hike begins in nearby Obereggen. The Obereggen chairlift first takes you to the starting altitude. At the mountain station, hikers take trail no. 18 and follow it to the Gamsstallscharte.
After a short rest, mountain lovers continue the hike on trail no. 516 and hike comfortably to the Pisa Hut, where they can enjoy the view and South Tyrolean hut specialities. Return via trail no. 516 and 22 to Mayrlboden. To get to Obereggen, take the Oberholz chairlift.

Trains stop at Bozen railway station, bus connection Bzen-Obereggen.
Directions
Brenner motorway A22, exit Bozen Nord, direction Bozen at the roundabout, turn left into Eggental (SS 241) and then continue on the long Dolomites road, in Birchabruck turn right to Eggental, Obereggen.
