With Deutschnofen, Obereggen and Welschnofen, the Eggental is a small but impressive valley in the southern Dolomites and is particularly popular with active holidaymakers.

Route description
By car, you first go to the car park below the Mayrlalm hut. Here hikers take trail no. 9 and soon trail no. 505 and hike to the Zischgalm. Continue on trail nos. 505 and 514 to Malga Caserina Alm and the La Porta bivouac. Here, trail no. 515 begins and leads hikers up to Monte Agnello. After a short rest, hikers return along path n. 51, 515 and 22 to the Ganischgeralm and along path n. 9 to the car park.

Directions
Brenner motorway A22, exit Bozen North, direction Bozen at the roundabout, turn left into Eggental (SS 241) and then continue on the long Dolomites road, in Birchabruck turn right to Eggental, Obereggen, Mayrlalm hut.
