Short description

Hike from the Pederühütte hut to the Seekofelhütte hut

Description

One of the most beautiful hikes in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park is the one from the Pederühütte near St. Vigil in Enneberg to the Seekofel hut.

Starting point of the tour

Pederü hut in the Rauhtal valley

Destination of the tour

Seekofel hut

Route description

The hike starts at the Pederü hut in the Rauhtal valley, which is very close to St. Vigil in Enneberg. Follow the old and very steep military road, turn left and overcome a rocky terrain step via daring hairpin bends. Hikers with a head for heights reach a breathtaking high plateau, where they continue on trail no. 7 through a shallow basin and then uphill to the Sennes hut.

Here you can take a first short rest before continuing along a forest path to the excursion destination Seekofel hut. The Seekofel hut offers a fabulous view of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags area. If you want to continue the long hike, you can hike from the Seekofel hut to Lake Prags and plan the return trip using public transport.
