Short description

Cycle tour in Andrian: on the Eppan High Mountain Trail

Description

Andrian is located south of Terlan on the wine route and is a lovely wine village where connoisseurs and wine connoisseurs are guaranteed to feel at home. But culinary delights are not everything: mountain bikers also get their money's worth in Andrian.

Starting point of the tour

Andrian

Destination of the tour

Eppan High Mountain Trail

Route description

The starting point of the cycle tour is the village square in Andrian. Bikers cycle to the Andrian quarry and on to Unterrain and Missian, where trail no. 9 leads to the Eppan mountain. Continue on hiking trails no. 8 and 8b (watch out for hikers: hikers always have priority on hiking trails!) to the Matschatschberg forest path.
On the forest path, you have to pedal long and steeply uphill to the Eppan High Mountain Trail (path no. 9). The Eppan High Mountain Trail is technically demanding and attractive and is ridden to the end on this tour. At the end of the high-level trail, cyclists take the forest path towards Perdonig and take the tarmac road back to Missian and the starting point in Andrian.
