Wine trail in Kurtatsch
It is a hike in free, untouched nature where you are informed about the most important developments of the wine-growing year and you have the possibility to explore the different scents of wine.
The starting point is the main place of Kurtatsch. Here you will see the first „Saltner Pratze“, a hand made of wood, which shows you the right way. It follows a way of two kilometers of closed grape landscape: This is the right place to make visible the different kinds of grapes and their characteristics. Here you can admire South Tyrolean’s oldest wine grape, which was planted in the far year 1601.
Don’t miss the smell and culinary hiking tour with the wine-grower Margareth Benin Orian which will be held every Wednesday. There you can try different kinds of wine in the middle of the beautiful vineyards and you can learn a lot about viniculture. The hiking tour requires good footwear!
