Tour description
The tour begins at Karer Pass in the Dolomites. With the Paolina-chair-lift you come easily to the homonymous refuge. There you follow path 549 until you get to Rotwand hut at 2280 m above sea level. There only a few hundred meters separate you from the fixed rope route. The fixed rope route to Punta Masaré lasts 1 hour. From there you follow the route to the summit of Mt. Rotwand, where you have an amazing view over the surrounding mountains.
Back to the starting point you will come by taking the Northern ridge to Vajolon Pass. On path 551 you come to path 549 which brings you back to Paolina Pass.
