Short description

The cycle tour leads from Innichen to the Silvesteralm.

Description

Around Innichen and Toblach, the otherwise rather narrow Pustertal valley widens out and forms a unique contrast to the pale Dolomite mountains with its hilly meadows and sparse forests.

Starting point of the tour

In the west of Innichen

Destination of the tour

Silvesteralm

Route description

The cycle tour starts in the west of Innichen, near the Kaiserwasser factory to be precise. From there, the route follows the Pustertal Valley cycle path to Toblach railway station and, after crossing the main road, into the village centre of Toblach and past the baroque church. The route continues towards Wahlen and as far as the Enzianhütte hut, where the tarmac road soon turns into a wide, non-steep forest path. The trail continues along the Silvesterbach stream to the picturesque Silvesteralm.
