Waterfall in Partschins
The masses of water of the waterfall in Partschins rush out over a free-standing and 97 m high rock wall. Favourable sunshine allows the drops of water to sparkle in all colours of the rainbow. When snow melts in early summer, the waterfall counts 5,000 to 6,000 litres per second.
Healthy climate
The waterfall is one of many natural beauties of Texel Group Nature Park and offers not only a refreshment on hot summer days. The humidity and cooling by evaporation favour a healing climate due to the high concentration of oxygen ions. These stimulate the immune system, clean the respiratory tract and have positive effects on the whole organism. This particularly benefits asthmatic persons and people with other chronic respiratory diseases.
Various hiking paths
Partschins is located a few kilometres from the thermal spa city Meran. From the village centre in Partschins, the waterfall can be reached within a one and a half hour walk or with a shuttle bus. You can also drive to Birkenwald parking lot with your car, but the street is narrow and steep. The viewpoint is located 15 minutes from the parking lot. As well, there are wonderful hiking paths for families from the top and valley station of Texelbahn cableway.
From spring to autumn, climbers look forward to a weekly adventure: abseiling at Partschins waterfall with a professional mountain guide.
