Dolomites high alpine routes 1 & 2
The temptation to stop in a beautiful refuge or in a beautiful alpine pasture will be strong!
Dolomites alpine path 1
The high alpine route 1 leads from Lake Prags to Belluno, is divided about 12 stages, 8 / 9 for more experienced, it is easy difficulty and 150 km long. The high route No.1 is for people who love nature and excursions without risks and dangers!
During the path people will exceed wonderful chains as the Dolomites Prags, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Zoldano, Agordino and Belluno. From Lake Prags reach the refuge Biella in about 3 hours and a half. From here you climb Mt. Seekofel with an hour and a half.
From here you go to Fànes refuge along the "Way of Peace", reaches the Croda of Valùn Blanch from where the view of the Tofane and Val Travenànzes is exceptional.
The next day in 5 hours you reach the refuge Lagazuoi and then the refuge Dibona. Here anyone who wants and has the proper physical preparation is available to the fixed rope route Lipella (six hour trip).
The next step is the refuge Five Towers and the refuge Nuvolau, pass refuge Palmieri and the refuge Città di Fiume. From here we head towards the hut to Coldài Sonnino, which can be reached in about 4 hours, where you can enjoy a beautiful landscape on the northern part of Civetta, one of the best-known peaks of Dolomites.
From Sonnino Refuge you reach the Tissi refuge and Vazzolèr refuge. From Refuge, the fixed rope route Alleghesi bring you until the top of Civetta while the path Tissi are reserved to experts.
Below Tissi refuge is the fantastic Lake of Alleghe. Now awaits the longest stage that touches the shelters: Vazzolèr, Carestiano, Pramperèt, 7° Alpini Refuge. Since last refuge reaches Belluno in about 3 hours.
Dolomites alpine path 2
The high route 2 is on 2,000 and 3,000 m, take you from Brixen in Feltre and commits about 15 days. The difficulty is moderate difficult. The course is recommended especially for hikers more trained, who do not suffer from dizziness and have a good sense of direction. It 'also needed a minimum mountaineering knowledge to tackle some difficult steps.
It starts from the refuge city of Brixen in Plose toward the refuge Genova. In about 6 hours you will reach the refuge Puez, from here you can admire a beautiful landscape on the Odle. You have to pass the Passo Gardena and the Refuge Cavazza al Pisciadù. From Passo Gardena start the fixed rope route Tridentina: difficult and crowded.
In 3 hours is reached then the refuge Boè and other 3, Passo Pordoi and Lake Fedaja. From here we head towards Malga Ciapela, Forcarossa and refuge Fuchiade.
It follows then to Fork Predazzo and Passo Valles refuge, about 4-5 hours of walking. From the refuge Passo Valles you have to reach the refuge Mulaz in three-four hours of walk. From the refuge Mulaz we head towards the refuge Pedrotti, along the Trail of Farangole equipped with metal rope, in about 2 hours you reach the refuge Pradidali.
A short crossing exposed, equipped with wire ropes, leads us to Treviso refuge, to Passo Cerèda, to Cerèda refuge and Bivouac Feltre, unsecured, you must bring food and water with you.
The last stages of this high route are quite challenging: Bruno Boz refuge, refuge Dal Piaz, this stretch there is not water. From Refuge Dal Piaz you reach then Pass of the Cross Aune and Feltre. Point of arrival is Pedavena, three kilometres from Feltre.
