Winter Sunrise Speikboden

You only have to get up early and drive to Ahrntal. Then, the Speikboden cable car, which starts earlier than usual, and the Sonnklar chairlift will take you comfortably up to 2,400 m. While the valley slowly awakes, you can hike to the Sonnklar Cross (approx. 10 min.) or wait for the first rays of sunshine right at the panoramic tower.

Then it’s time for a good mountain breakfast, which you can book at the summit in the Sonnklarhütte or at the Schüsslerhof on the valley slope. You can also use this opportunity to whizz down the freshly groomed slopes at your leisure. Until the normal opening of the other lifts at 8:30 am, you can take the cable car, the “Tottomandl” lift and the Sonnklar chairlift.

Option number 3: Leave your skis in the valley and fly directly into the sunrise by tandem flight!

The special winter sunrise trip at Speikboden will take place on 2 January (7:00 am), 14 March (6:00 am) and 15 April (5:30 am). It will be postponed in case of bad weather.
