Short description

A particularly varied circular tour shows the rural side of Bruneck's surroundings.

Description

After all, there are numerous villages around the Rienzstadt where rural life plays a prominent role. In Percha, Amaten and St. Georgen, many locals still make a living from farming and maintain the cultural landscape around their farms accordingly.

Starting point of the tour

Former ice stadium in Bruneck

Destination of the tour

Former ice stadium in Bruneck

Route description

The starting point is in Bruneck at the former ice stadium. The route first leads into the shady Rienzschlucht gorge and after two long tunnels to Percha. In Percha, bikers pedal to the main road and cross it in the direction of Amaten. Instead of stopping at the Gasthof Amaten, mountain bikers cycle left on paths 4a and 5 steeply downhill to Aufhofen. At a chapel worth seeing, the cyclists turn off towards St. Georgen and climb along a tarmac field path via Greinwalden to Pfalzen. At the Pfalzen sports zone, the tour continues to the left towards Fassing and Lothen as far as St. Lorenzen. Cyclists return to the starting point along the Rienz river.
