Route description
The starting point of the mountain bike tour is the village centre of Sarnthein. Here, mountain bikers cycle along the Talfer river to the sports ground and, after the bridge, take the tarmac path out of the valley to the Hotel Bad Schörgau. From here, continue to the Sarntaler Straße road and then turn right through the hamlet of Bundschen and left after the bridge up to Wildlahn.
A fairly steep road takes you to the Jöchler and on path no. 19 to the Jöchlerkreuz. This is where the technical part of the tour begins: first an extremely challenging descent on a gravel track, then a stretch of tarmac road to the Dörflerhof (trail no. 20), continuing on a very steep section (with sections of pushing) to the Schmiedhof. After a short rest, you return from here to the starting point in Sarnthein.
