One of the most romantic and oldest churches in the Dolomites is the St. Jakob church near St. Christina.

St. Jakob church

The St. Jakob church can be reached from the Hotel Dosses in St. Cristina. From there, walk along the Cislesbach stream and continue left to Plesdinazstraße. Immediately after the end of the road, hikers follow the well-signposted fork in the path, choose the tarmac road on the right-hand side and reach the beautifully situated meadows of Prauleta.

There, a larch-lined field path crosses to the west and joins the wide Almenweg trail no. 4. Walkers take the Almenweg trail to the weather cross and take the flat, unmarked path that leads them to St. Jakob Church.
