Gardening Festival – "Gartenlust"
Our editorial team always tries to provide detailed and accurate information, but it is possible that events undergo changes that we are unable to update in real time. Exact details on dates, times and programmes can be obtained directly from the organiser. This year the popular market days for all friends of garden culture take place at the market garden Galanthus in Lana near Meran already for the 13rd time. The place is well-known even beyond the boundaries of the village Lana for its delightful monastery garden with show herb garden.
In addition the more than 10,000 square meter large area of the market garden offers an almost inexhaustible diversity of fruits and vegetables, familiar and unusual flowers, shrubs, trees, herbs and other fragrant, colorful and blossoming plants.
Fair for garden lovers
For several years the market garden Galanthus has especially supported the maintenance of the variety of cultivated plants and the sensitivity for natural treasures. This request is also behind the garden fair that takes places every late summer.
The event brings garden lovers, amateur and pro gardeners and different companies of the sector together. About 80 exhibitors from South Tyrol, Italy, Germany and Austria will arrive at the market garden in the region Meran and environs. From noble and rare flowers and seeds of every stripe to shoots of small and large plants, garden decoration and gardening implements – garden friends will surely like the offer of the Gardening Festival.
The entertainment programme on both days is nearly as colorful as the magnificence of the plants: among other things with music, informative lectures, garden tips given by pros, presentations of crafts and art and specials for kids.
The Gardening Festival is open on Saturday and on Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm, last admission at 5 pm. The entrance fee amounts to 6.00 €.
